Although there is a good alternative to Illustrator (the vector program), and semi-good replacements for Photoshop, the biggest one holding me back was InDesign. Publisher (lol what a name pick) is supposed to be less of a resource hog, which would be a nice change.
I'll still have to keep some... Dubious copies of some Adobe programs on hand because they're still very industry standard, but I want to do my part in helping move us all out of the monopolistic stranglehold Adobe has on the industry. Here's hoping Affinity doesn't suffer the same fate as many of Adobe's past competitors - bought and gobbled up.
