• They/Them

A real "we've got a nephew" of graphic design and illustration, mental illness held at bay by a very nice vegetable garden and cats.

Lapsed printmaker, you should ask me about it and I'll be very weird

Me: I want to go to the gym, but I hate being perceived, knowing that people are looking at me and judging me. Or worse, I'm someone's negative inspiration.

My buff guy roommate: No one is doing that, everyone is focusing on their workout

Also him: proceeds to talk shit about a bunch of people's form, them in general, and about all of the creepy old men leering at women

I switched gyms because of a judgement and creep problem. If you can, alot of gyms offer free trials. you could try out a some new ones and see if you like them better. I switched to a planet fitness
(surprisingly) and was immediately put at ease by seeing other people who looked like me (Trans and Fat). I still get stared at but I think everyone does because its human nature to look around.
