is there a good reason not to use git for working collaboratively on ableton projects? Like... free hosting, version control, etc. It seems way more robust that something like gdrive.
So far the only hitch I've found is that I can't git add until Ableton has been closed.
git was designed for text files and doesn't really work well with binary files. I mean, it does work, and for a single person its usually fine, but as soon as you get one or more people working in the same space then nope, it's a nightmare.
Ranging from that to impossible. Binary merge conflicts basically can't be resolved in any of the normal ways a text-based conflict can.
