A lil' update on the floofy ham Ferdinand and angry owl Merida

My roommate brought in a stray feral last year, and he's spent all of that time since hiding in the basement and sleeping. We took him into the vet and found out he has a stomach cancer (very early), and put him on steroids.

He's been doing SO much better since then, bulking out, playing with Hades more, and greeting (at a distance) us at his dinner. We can hear him creeping around the upstairs at night, but today he came up during the day and even stayed! Didn't want to get close, but didn't run away when I made tea or was getting dinner.

We're not sure if he'll ever be a cuddlebug of a cat, but this is a huge improvement and maybe he'll be able to hang out on the couch or use the cat tree.

When will you talk to your cats about the dangers of overindulging in beans?

I wanna get him a little tweed vest to go with the bowtie SO BAD! He'd look so cute in it!
