Finally had enough juice to go out to the garden and pick a bunch of overlarge cucumbers and green beans. I checked on the luffa plants and they are going wild. Last year I struggled to grow one, so I wasn't prepared for three plants to just spread so prolifically. The little tendril vines are so grippy they were climbing the vertical wooden fence, and in these photos, have grabbed onto the low branches of the tree. I've been trying to train them across the chainlink fence, but they just wanna go UP. The goal is to have so many luffa that we can give them away as little goofy Christmas presents.
