• They/Them

A real "we've got a nephew" of graphic design and illustration, mental illness held at bay by a very nice vegetable garden and cats.

Lapsed printmaker, you should ask me about it and I'll be very weird

Was digging through my desktop portfolio for something professional-esque to put in my BlueSky banner, and found this little guy. In high school I was a big fan of making my own purses, including one made out of sewn together IDE cables and weird spare computer parts my brother was going to throw away. That thing tore up SO MANY shirts under the right armpit.

This is a basketball-sized round recreation of Timcampi from the manga D. Gray-Man, and I made it for an anime convention. The innards holding the shape are made of wire and paper mache, covered in stuffing, and then a fleece shell. Fleece is so forgiving for novice sewers, and has a lot of give and flex to shape. It was a little awkward to put stuff in and take it out, but it kicked ass.
