using the term "late capitalism" doesn't necessarily imply a support for non-late capitalism, that's a wild assumption to make imo
I can't speak for everyone, but my experiences with the term (whether I'm using it or people I'm talking to are) liken it to talking about a disease that was allowed to survive way too long
Reagan was like "look, if you move the capitalism speed stick to the right, it have more setting than 1 and reverse" and everything went to the rich much faster since then. This doesn't change that capitalism was always about putting the result of labor in the hand of a guy that borrowed money to buy the tools of productions.
