It's not so much a mixed response as: Marie is a very, very different game than the rest of the series and I'm unsure whether it counts as a spinoff or not in this circumstance - because I explicitly don't cover those in my doc, for my own sanity. I guess I'll play it and we'll see how much they've changed. But Marie as it existed originally - I've played the fan translation - would not warrant inclusion in that doc. It's very mechanical, very numbers-y. It's more of a hard sim than anything like the modern atelier series. (though it's still more like modern atelier than like... Iris or Mana Khemia)
