#1 Azure Dragoon

Tumblr vet. Lover of Elezen, home of my WoLShip, admin/founder of FFXIV Swap, here to have a good time.

With one last thrust of Jess’ lance, the final soldier fell, leaving just her and her companion standing on the battlefield. She tiredly wiped her brow with a huff - only to sigh as she stared at the back of her now-bloodied hand.

It would take more than a few swipes to rid herself of this mess…

“Jess?”

At the sound of her friend’s voice, she turned, finding Varrus striding towards her, his brows furrowed.

“Don’t worry,” she eased with a grin, “it’s not mine. Or, well… Most of it, anyway.”

“Good.” With a relieved sigh, he brought a hand down to cup her face, gently running his thumb along her chin. “For if anything happened to you, I’d…”

“You’d… What?” She raised a brow mischievously - only to suddenly and unexpectedly find her best friend’s lips pressed against hers. She let out a squeak, her hands flailing for whatever they could grasp, settling upon his hair - and inevitably pulling him closer. Not that she minded, necessarily - she was perfectly content to let him have his way with her, despite her immense confusion.

“Varrus,” she breathed against his lips - only for her breath to abandon her once more as he backed her against a nearby tree, blood streaming down his face and intermixing with her own as the rain-

Wait, rain? Since when had it been raining?

Granted, she had to admit, the weather was the last thing on her mind, especially as his friend grasped her wrists, pinning them above her head before allowing his free hand to travel downwards. He pulled his head back as soon as his fingers reached her waistband, just enough for his eyes to search hers, begging an unspoken question. And, with a breathless nod, she gave him the answer he sought.

Her breath hitched in her throat as his hand slid its way inside her leather breeches, moving ever-so-slowly towards their goal. She couldn’t help but moan, arching her back, pressing herself into him; he chuckled into her ear, stopping just short of what she craved.

“Do you want this?” he leaned in, the hot breath of his whisper sending shivers down her spine.

“More than anything,” she whined, gasping as his lips met her neck. And with that, he continued his trek, his fingers sliding-

With a gasp, Jess’ eyes shot open, finding the familiar stone ceiling of her chambers in the Rising Stones to greet her, the dim light of the morning sun only just beginning to peek through her windows.

She couldn’t help but glance beside her, finding her bed empty - as she’d known it would be, of course. Another damned dream about that damned Elezen… It had felt… so real.

Grunting, she pushed herself up, doing her best to shake the last remnants of her thoughts from her mind. She couldn’t think of him like that. He was her best friend… And he was, most certainly, going to be the death of her.
