yeah! essentially the grid starts out with every possibility on every tile. then, as tiles are picked, the number of possible tiles their neighbour can be gets reduced by various constraints (connectivity being the biggest one). that's the "wave function" part. you keep going like this until there can only be one tile possible in each space, and that's the "collapse" part. you can learn more about how it works here:
