I'm still trying to get some draft ideas out for how this Environmental Mystery game is going to work. I've fiddled around with an initial table a la the Quiet Year, where you can draw up to 14 planets and lay them out from sun to rim in whichever order they're drawn. Very simple stuff. Nothing special. It's actually the rest of the game I'm finding to be daunting.

As of now, there is no harm, but the failure state is a three-strikes system of being taken away by the sublime of the solar system. My reasoning is inspired by Pixel a day's The Romantic Sublime in Subnautica and The Long Dark. The idea is that if you have three encounters with the sublime on these planets or out in space, your character wants to remain in the time loop and is lost.

What the hell am I going to do with all these suits? Right now, I'm following TQY to have suits capture certain categories for prompts to aim towards, and I am currently leaning to wrap the suits around details like precursor ruins, the plant's ecology/seismology/etc., Scientific Principles, and dangerous things. Further on these prompts will have die sizes associated with them so that after you draw the card and develop the prompt, you can place the die on the planet's card or existing dice tower.
We'll see what's going on next week. I said I'd stick updates to Tuesdays and Thursdays (Twice a week!), but I feel like a once-a-week tuesday update is for the best. I'm doing this for fun!
