Can somebody, anybody tell me what’s up with the Netheril Empire? Were there any prominent Netherse dungeon modules? Did they have any cool rooms for you to muck around in or any amazing plots that unfold as you explore?

One Canuck built the #ttrpg tag and the #mecha tag. And that was me.

Archetypical "lost magical empire" type stuff, as far as I've experienced it's a convenient excuse to have giant magical ruins laying around anywhere that's convenient for an adventure
The back half-ish of Neverwinter Nights Shadows of Undrentide takes place entirely in a ruined Netherese city and it's a fun enough time
final act of Icewind Dale Rime of the Frostmaiden also happens in a fallen netherese city
Glancing at the history write-ups on DM's Guild, it looks like there was a 3.5 era adventure that used them as a MacGuffin - Anauroch: The Empire of Shade. It was the final adventure in a three-part series that looks to be more about a plot with Shar trying to take control of magic instead of about the Netherese themselves, but there might be something in there to use.
It also looks like there was an adventure about them in Dungeon Magazine 88.
I don't have any experience with either, but hopefully they have something cool in 'em if ya' check 'em out.
