i 'member 24XX. Had some rad shit like Bandit and Titanomachy but it suffers from the fate of "hey you need to be This Good At GMing and RPing to make it work."
Yeah that was totally my experience as well. I was in the discord a few years ago and trying to get feedback for a little shootout procedure where abilities had recharge times and there were limited rounds, and everyone was like “why are you not taking the same approach as everyone else and just making it minimal” and I knew I had to get out.
I think it’s a neat rules-lite base to steal and work off but i would need to bolt a ton more rules on top
Yeah like, it has a super generalist procedure but I feel it lacks a robust way to either negotiate emergent gameplay or supercharge it.
