I'd recommend Salvage Union. You play post-apocalyptic salvagers in mechs. It's all about finding and scrapping old machines, fixing stuff up, and maintaining your collective's carrier ship. You also fight giant mutants, raiders, and corps.

The mechanics for scrap are pretty easy to keep track of. Each bit of machinery (mechs, vehicles, tools, mech modules, etc) have a Tech Level and an amount of scrap. I haven't played since the beta so I don't know the specifics they changed, but you could build or repair stuff with scrap of an equal or greater tech level or you can count 3 pieces of lower level scrap as 1 level higher.

Salvage Union has been on my radar for a while! I would have to take a look at rules for rolling and hauling though. I feel like this is a good opportunity for a dungeon about salvaging like, a crash site in a canyon or volcano or something where mechs are necessary! That would rule.
