It's not a 1:1 match, but it has

  • Archetypes familiar to fantasy gamers
  • Archetypes that match up to a lot of the Class/Role Types in M:TG, particularly in Tarkir
  • It's not D&D
  • An aura/corruption element (semi-mechanical, it's uneven, but it's there) which could easily be leaned into Magic Color Pie
  • Monstrous adversaries with interesting powers, roles and tactics beyond standard D&Dlike Claw Claw Bite Breath
  • The core setting isn't a match for Tarkir, but DOES have baked-in tensions between peoples a la the Clans general mixed trust/mistrust/respect for each other
  • Dangerous and corrupted lands
  • Adventures that are much more interesting than "go kill these acceptable-target men to loot their ancestral treasures in order to buy your way back into the respect of the Power"
  • A pretty interesting system which is going to be familiar to Fantasy Gamers but not nearly identical to any of the D&Dlikes
