The Bay Area's Hardcore scene took a heavy hit this week, with the passing of Outta Pocket’s Chris Oropeza. Outta Pocket's debut LP Waste of a Man was featured in What's Good in July, and is a banger, so please check it out if you haven't already. If you'll be in or near Pomona tomorrow night, the band will be playing a show at The Haven in Chris' honor.
Will Hagle chopped it up with Fat Tony about I Will Make A Baby In This Damn Economy, his relationship with his father, how his independent hustle was fostered by punk scenes, and much more.
Not news this week, but L'Orange has started his own label after serving as an artist and creative director for Mello Music Group, and he's been revealing the roster slowly over the past few weeks.
