In this article, I compare the Roll20 dice roll algorithm to the diceroll outcomes of the various tabletop actual play podcasts which use this website to facilitate play. First, I introduce and review the algorithm itself. Second, I review the literature on tabletop actual play and the varied approaches they take when incorporating dice into their practice. Third, I engage with the experiences of the actual play participants with the algorithm and conclude that
