finally started actually looking at the ICON pdf and is this mechanically kinda "A Fantasy Supplement for Lancer" (complimentary)?
I think for combat and builds it’s much more streamlined, but there is a lot going on with terrain effects because there’s magic. There is also an unruly number of statuses.
Also it’s way easier to make an npc lineup for combat than in Lancer.
