the problem with cohost is that there isn't enough incredibly dumb discourse, actually. that's the hamster wheel that makes the money flow on mastodon, if they could just ramp up the discourse they would break even immediately. please reply with your proposed discourse topics

in the debate between dog lovers and cat lovers, i think that dog lovers tend to like a pet that does as it's told and always loves the owner with little to no social boundaries. cats however, act more like a friend, providing company and companionship, while still having their own personal boundaries. cats are just dogs with boundaries
Hotels accepting pets is actually fascism (the unification of corporate financial interests and pop conservatism)
Maybe we need more main characters too like a lot of the hottest tumblr or twitter discourse was always around the ppl getting burned in effigy. we don't have anybody selling bones from a local cemetary or telling 4 year olds to pull themselves up by their bootstraps.
there's like 4 cemeteries within 15 minutes walk of my apt I could start selling bones I suppose

The problem is that Cohost is too good at filters. When there is a Main Character, all you have to do is mute their account and everything related to them instantly disappears from your feed forever.
The Axiom of Choice isn't really all that controversial.

remember when a bunch of cohost users beefed with the dreamwidth founder over cohost's TOS and nearly all of the actual discourse was on twitter
this is really a "i like this bar, if you're gonna fight take it outside" kind of situation
