I think the first few episodes were pretty rough, but I absolutely love the ideas the show is engaging with. There's a lot of "from a certain point of view" going on with what happened on Brendok.
How do you read Indara killing everyone in the coven by severing their connection to the wookie? It didn't seem fearsome, but it did feel dark-side coded to me
Did Indara kill them with the Force? Or were they knocked unconscious and then killed in the fire?
She seemed horrified by her action immediately afterwards, but the camera also didn't linger on it, so I'm not sure if we know definitively. I think "knocking people out and leaving them to die" is pretty similar to "murdering them" though
I'm not sure the Jedi had time to get everyone out, if they were still alive. But the whole thing did happen because Torbin and Sol flew off the handle.
I think it's knocked out but left to die-- still a horrible, scarring action for a Jedi to take.
I also think there's something bleak that it does to Kelnacca's mind afterwards; maybe the reason he's a hermit, and the reason his hut was covered with drawings of the coven's spiral art. I think the break she made was not clean.
Oof. Yeah. If Indara cut the witches off from the Force while their spirits were possessing Kelnacca, that could be not great for Kelnacca.
100% agree, and I didn't catch the spirals in the hut!! Cool detail
I was totally ready for this to be the classic "Paladins be imposing their religion on everyone" plotline and instead we got the other classic "Paladins be lawful stupid" plotline.
I think the show overall has pacing issues and suffers from some poor writing, but overall I'm having a fucking blast. The show is good!
