Are there still ttrpg game jams going on? Is that something people still do? I thought the process was really important because it made me learn not how to write a game but how to finish writing one.

One Canuck built the #ttrpg tag and the #mecha tag. And that was me.

Yes! Definitely, although for many the main organising and communication happens in discords or siloed communities.
Yeah. They're just a hassle to find.
Really wish Itch would let you filter jams by type instead of dumping them all in one place.
Still around, but it feels like you gotta luck into seeing the right post or blog to learn of 'em. This one just wrapped-up.

Still around but I don't think any have taken off as broadly as like, sad mech jam or the album jam did in the past.
like others have said though, a lot take place through discords or around specific games or communities.
the Dice Exploder discord has been hosting a lot of discussion around jams!
The current one is a Pregen Character Jam ( https://itch.io/jam/dice-exploder-pregen-jam )
and in the past they've hosted a game remix jam ( https://itch.io/jam/game-exploder ) and a game commentary jam ( https://itch.io/jam/disc-2-ttrpg-jam )
