good questions to ask during session zero

  1. Is a Wizard going to show up? Are there no more Wizards? Did our society overthrow a former nobility of "Wizard Kings"
  2. when would be running into Authority Astirs? What are we doing where these Astirs are sent to stop us or set in our way?
  3. Wait have all of us listened to Blowback? That podcast rules.

Does anyone know...

...if there's been much writing done on TTRPGs specifically built for an asynchronous format?

Before I played TTRPGs, I used to do text-based RP in Gaia Online. I remember them having a rudimentary D6 Roller built in, but no RP was interested in actually adjudicating itself through game mechanics.

Obviously Correspondence Play has been around for decades; but could a system exist that lets a bunch of players drop in and out asynchronously?
