Something I've thought about now and then is like. When will Iekika die.

Not in-universe, that's an easy question to answer - imps live maybe 120 years, she's like early 20s, etc etc. I mean, in the real world, when will the concept of her vanish.

This applies to any ocs, not just her, to be clear. I'm in my early 20s myself right now. I've had Iekika for nearly a decade at this point, which rules, but I find myself wondering if I'll still have the same enthusiasm for her as I get older.

The first option is, I hit 40 or whatever and just gradually lose interest. It'll be a slow fade, not like one day I pull an Andy Toy Story and chuck her in the bin, but still. It's weird to think of my life without her or my other ocs in it - it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say I've thought about these character every day for nearly 10 years.

But the other option. I'm 40 years old - nearly twice my current age, twice my entire live experience - and she's still kickin'. It feels weird to imagine my life without her, but I can't possibly imagine what'll happen to her - or me - that far out, either.

And, eventually, I will die. Happens to the best of us. I won't be there to tell stories about her or draw her, anymore. But her idea is out there, on servers, in 3d printed doodads. In high school, I made a 3d printed model of Iekika in Blender and printed it in my CAD class, and the teacher liked it so much he ran off a second one that, to my knowledge, is still there. In the year 2200, what shreds of her will remain?

Really I guess this is less specific to ocs and more just, thinking about the future through the lens of them.

... Why yes, I did just watch the latest Jacob Geller video, how could you tell?

Vessel Garden is a resource management game about comforting souls as they leave the mortal coil. You plant seeds that attract 'vessels' to them, which you dig up and exchange emotions with to try and leave them better than they arrived.

It probably has the most high-concept idea of any of my games, and I hope it doesn't end up coming off as pretentious or anything for it. When I heard the theme I wanted to do something with a grid of 'crops', but I knew everyone was going to do a farming game, so I wanted to put a weird spin on it and I think what I ended up with is alright.

I ended up being pretty busy this weekend, so it's nowhere near as polished as I'd like, but overall I think it came out alright. This was also the start of a challenge I set for myself to make a game every month of the year.
