Finally have the energy to work on commissions after all of the crazy moving that had been going on~
Merly’s parents let out a delighted chuckle as they respectfully nod back to Kiki, smiles on their faces and an easy calm air between them that lightens the weight on Merly’s nervous shoulders. That weight is replaced immediately but her face burning bright with embarrassment as she hears her father speak up with a knowing smile, “It is a pleasure to have someone so enthusiastic to see our home, most come to find something useful for their own intentions. Or they feel they are stuck here and have nothing to enjoy, speaking of such, my daughter here has been dreadfully bored at this party. Would you believe in such a thing?”
About ready to slap her father on the shoulder, Meryl is only stopped by the smirk on her mother’s face and knowing that it would cause a scene. Doesn’t help either that Kiki is looking at her and she doesn’t want to seem childish about her, instead focusing on her bright cunning eyes. Something about the way she holds back a laugh causes her to hear to flip in her chest, Kiki looking to Meryl’s father with a humorous tone, “That’s such a shame, your home is so beautiful, I would love to see it all but there is only so much you can see in a life…”
There is a pause as she watches a spark of an idea glitter in Kiki’s eyes as her smile sharpens into a smirk for a moment. She softens her smile to give Meryl’s parents a respectful bow, “Actually, if your majesties wouldn’t be opposed to it, I would like to propose that your daughter can give me a tour of your amazing home. That way I can see it all from someone who knows the best to see while your daughter doesn’t feel so stuck at this party.”
Feeling the burning blush on her face grow to her ears, Meryl can’t bring herself to look at her parents, knowing full well that they would be looking down at her with smug smiles. She had the suspicion that they knew about her and Kiki, but this just confirms it with how much joy they are getting from playing around with her. The nervousness and embarrassment cause her to start shifting from foot to foot as she waits for her parents’ answer to the offer. Finally, her mother lets out a gentle laugh before nodding, “I think that would be a lovely idea, our daughter deserves to have a bit of fun after having such an eventful day today. Please do take care of our guest Meryl, wouldn’t want her to share in your boredom.”
Not wanting to give them the opportunity to change their mind or being able to tease her more, she steps up to Kiki and takes her hand. Quickly taking her toward one end of the ballroom with large double doors, she waves back to her parents as Kiki lets out a giggle, “I’ll make sure they have a nice time, don’t worry too much about me!”
Her parents laugh as she leaves, eventually exiting the ballroom and out into the halls where the two of them glance around to see that they are alone. A moment later Meryl feels herself being gently pressed against the wall and her lips meeting Kiki’s, both of them letting out a lingering delighted hum. The kiss lasts for a long minute, though only a breath of a moment for them as they both want more of the other. Breaking away with their hands still entwined, Meryl gives Kiki a shy smile before slowly starting to guide her away toward her room.
Feeling the excitement of what is going to happen build up in her body, she is surprised as she feels Kiki start to lag behind before stopping in the hallway behind her. She turns see a concerned guilty frown on her face, looking to the side for a moment before she speaks her mind, “I’m- I’m sorry about what happened outside… That you had to put yourself in the way and see all of that. It got out of control, and I just didn’t want you to put yourself in danger, especially if it would be my fault…”
