This past weekend for segfest I tried to use the advanced scene switcher plugin in obs to work around some of the quirks of the vlc playlist source, but it backfired and switched my playlist early.

Turns out I failed to read the information presented on screen and set the macros to trigger on "ended" instead of "ended(playlist)" so it fired when the first video ended instead of all of them.

Oh well, at least now I know better.
