i wrote All Fall Down as i realized i would have more time for writing with my disability precluding work ever happening. i deeply believed that i was terminally ill at the time (doctors said i almost certainly had ALS or MS) and i put so much of myself into it that i realized that i really can write whatever i want
The fear of losing the opportunity to create what you want is strong for sure. You really can write whatever you want!
