Anybody know of some good alternatives for gitlab? I wanna have an easy-to-use spot to collab with friends on repositories privately and self hosted

Maybe I should give gitlab another go though. I had a hard time trying to set it up before but it would be a good solution
I'm currently running git init --bare on our NAS and cloning from/pushing to there. There's also guides out there to set this up with SSH: https://git-scm.com/book/en/v2/Git-on-the-Server-Setting-Up-the-Server. If you have a way of communicating (e.g. matrix, discord, w/e) this would probably get you a long way.
If you find a good web interface for this then I'm all ears
I'm currently looking into gitea which is much more lightweight. It's setup seems much simpler than gitlab was, and gitlab is proving difficult to completely remove haha.

Yeah been hitting a few walls with getting Gitea setup. I just need something that's easy to setup really, don't need any fancy features just need to collaborate on godot projects with friends.
