Working on a text-based game with character customization has had me thinking about different ways flavor texts can be used. Currently there are pronouns and they seem to work just fine so far, but at some point I might want to write in gender identity types of words, I can make do without really but I thought it might be fun to follow a kind of chart for them like:

mangentlemanboyguy
womanladygirlgal
bee persongentlebeeenbybee

I actually feel similarly about those words myself so I've been giving this more thought. What would make it a bit more straight forward though is having characters just ask what is preferred but also have such an option in the character creation. There is also the potential for nick names or pet names which would be very specific to characters and their relationship with the player's character.

I want to be careful that my code doesn't become too unwieldy too quickly with ideas like this.
