Something I've been noticing lately is how my experience on other social media sites seems to be getting worse and not just on the social side. I've tried to mute or silence or block people or words on Twitter and sometimes they just don't work. Here I add some tags to muffle in my settings, go to the tab I was using for browsing a feed and boom, those posts are muffled and clearly shows why. I can muffle what I don't want to see, or would need to mentally prepare myself before seeing, and I can just see what I don't mind seeing straight up with the whitelisted content warnings. I'm so glad things update in this way here.
Sure there are bugs here and there but I think overall the site runs smoother and faster than either Twitter or Tumblr for me, and doesn't jostle me around so much when I'm just scrolling. The worst I get in that regard though is on mobile there are sometimes some funky css posts that do something with the cursor with scrolling or something and it feels a bit sticky but I think people have been a bit more mindful of that lately.
