Been working on this drawing of sorXa (she/her) for nearly a week, but it's finally done! \

sorXa (pronounced like the Irish name "Sorcha", i.e. ˈsɔɾˠəxə / SOR-uh-ha) is a gynoid who, until fairly recently, was an AMAB human who was forced to become a supersoldier and fight for a fascist government against her will. When she was captured by rebels1, they transferred her consciousness to a temporary anthropoid2 body to bypass the implant that controls the speech of said soldiers (which makes it basically impossible to interrogate them), but much to their surprise, not only was she happy to cooperate, she offered (well, moreso demanded) to join their cause, but only on one condition:
That she be allowed to design a new gynoid body for herself instead of being put back into her original human body.3
- Mostly anthropoids, who are treated as sub-human by the government sorXa was forced to serve, though there are plenty of humans in the rebel forces as well. Think the Resistance from Mega Man Zero, but with more than one human member instead of just Ciel.
- As in the gender-neutral term for an android/gynoid.
- The processes that were used to make her a supersoldier were basically like a super-puberty with a side of shock-collar-esque implant to keep her from saying or doing things not approved by the regime, so as far as she was concerned it'd be easier to just move her consciousness to another anthropoid body (in this case, a custom-built gynoid4 based on her transition goals) rather than putting her back into her organic body, removing the implant, and trying to alter that in a way that would reduce its numerous dysphoria-triggering aspects.
- The rebel forces have a lot of spare anthropoid parts lying around for the sake of repairing their anthropoid members, many of them salvaged from dead anthropoids or stolen from manufacturing plants, parts shipments, etc. They can't make new anthropoids wholesale because they don't currently have access to the tech used to create a new consciousnesses, but even if they did there are still huge ethical and moral issues with creating a new person, handing them a gun, and telling them to go fight a guerilla war.
As an aside, I should note this is her unarmored "casual" outfit; I still need to finalize the design of her armor, but she's generally not going off to fight heavily armored soldiers in civilian clothes like this.
