Great if you're fascinated by the naming of things or just really big sets of data.
It's all in here!
The most popular boys' name is now Noah, taking over from Oliver. I've always had a soft spot for Noah as a name, but that's just because there was a really fit boy called Noah in my year at school.
Some great/awful names in there!

I think we've discovered the one area of life where the trickle-down effect actually exists.

(Most of these names sound so posh / upper-middle-class to me, especially the entire 'girls' list.)

(I wonder whether this is partly related to the fact that people often name children after popular actors, and in recent generations more and more actors are posh because the routes into a top-tier acting careers for working class people have dwindled almost to nothing.)

"Archie" is one of the most common names? Surely you have an obligation as a parent to call your kid "Archibald" or whatever the long version of Archie is and then make them carry that burden for the rest of their days

Aww! There are some really cute names here, especially for the girls! I'm admittedly more drawn to these than many others of recent decades, lol. Thank you Britain for bringing us some more Willows, Ivys, and Leos.
