so the new place is the same size as ours, is cheaper in rent, and seems to be about the same price electricity-wise. If the landlord okays us, it's pretty much a sure thing that we'd be moving in a few months!
We'd be moving in November, so if all this goes through, that means two months of double rent - paying for the new place and the old place. That's, a strain on our budget, especially coupled with moving costs (in both money and time, which we could be using to earn more money). We'll find a way to make it for sure, but there might be a fundraiser stream in our future to help us stay stable.
Emi crunched some numbers and found that if we can (both of us combined) make around $500 a week for the next three months, we'll be good. I'm not able to do very much work at all still, but as soon as I finish with my current workload, she and I will be taking on some collab commissions. I'm very quick with sketches, and she's very quick at everything else, so if we combine our efforts we'll be able to knock those out. I might also just, stay open for sketch commissions for a while? If there's interest for those at all, I can easily do a few per day and not be quite so much dead weight.
We've been denied for a loan (probably a good thing in the long run), and can't really ask for help from family since they're dealing with one less source of income due to sicknesses, so finding a way to somehow work quicker and more is pretty much what we gotta do. So if you've wanted a comm for a while, keep your eyes peeled 'cause we'll both be taking whatever work we can once we've wiped out our current queues!
