there needs to be an episode of the Scott pilgrim anime where scott changes his name and pronouns for a day, and her life instantly gets better and she goes on as "Scotty" longer than expected and has a great week and it's like "wow it's like all my problems got better and I feel like a complete person now"
the very next week he's back to his old self and everyone is like "yo uh, what happened to Scotty?" and he says through handfuls of dry cereal, "idk everything was too nice and it was weird. I'm gonna keep doing the whole 'egg' thing for a few more years at least. I'm not ready to stop being a miserable closeted jackass." and everything goes back to the way it was.
