Remember that looking convincing and BEING TOTALLY WRONG are both things that chatgpt is extremely good at. who knows what wild ass bugs will manifest using this thing

desperately hate that the thing being touted as the AI Revolution That Will Fix Everything is a program literally created with the purpose of Sounding Confidently Right with no possible way to verify if anything it outputs is actually technically correct. Like it's specifically designed to be the worst thing to ask for advice or information.
Also yeah the tab I always have open for youtube videos in the background has a video about that site open now, I clicked on it out of curiosity then stopped the video when I realized with horror it was about ChatGPT
it's so funny and sad that people see this glorified phone keyboard autocomplete and think it can solve world hunger
It's! Literally just guessing!!! Guessing based on past work but still with no verification of whether they past work was right or understanding of why it was right if it was. I also hate that factual errors are called "hallucinations" because that implies it's a malfunction, when it's just the machine guessing wrong instead of guessing right.
The good news is that the people it's going to fuck over the worst are the people who most believe in it.
I kinda want to see this in action, in a way that is similar to wanting to see the outcome of a major cargo train crash or something
