On one hand I did determine a long time ago that I need to be scoring multimedia projects for my own creative fulfillment, but it does suck to know that the barriers to making a living doing music for music's sake have gotten so much higher in recent months. I feel fortunate that my primary source of income is direct pay from commissions but I'm definitely bummed about the apparent prospects for getting some of my personal music projects out there :(
