We are raising money for the vet and hospital expenses of our dearly beloved cat Freya.
Freya is our beloved child and an invaluable member of our family. We have been dealing with the arduous process of trying to diagnose and treat her current illness. For several weeks now she has been eating less and less, and she is losing more and more weight and continues to lose energy.
The vet has tried several treatments and diagnostic procedures, which so far have proven unsuccessful. Freya has undergone several checkups, blood-work, medications, an ultrasound, and a biopsy, none of which have given us any concrete answers about her condition.
We are now referred to a local animal hospital for a more thorough biopsy, which might be followed up by further treatment & surgery. However, due to the personnel shortage caused by COVID-19 this process has been dragging on and on for weeks.
It has been a terribly harrowing and heartbreaking ordeal, having the bills pile up while we watch our cat get weaker. We are both disabled and unemployed, and physically and emotionally drained by this terrible process.
Any help at all would be deeply appreciated, and would help lighten some of this load on our extremely fragile household in a very meaningful way.
