You can't put a footnote under a read more break, apparently. That last post I spent several minutes debugging because the first footnote wouldn't show up, so I had to cheat and do it manually instead of with the markdown footnote stuff.
Also you can't easily put an image in-line with text. I tried to have an external emote in the footnotes but it just broke everything, and I didn't feel like spending time figuring out what the newfangled method is. Back in my day, we just used the image tag in-line with our text, and it worked perfectly
