last year, @mit and i started putting together a mario-party-like to play with our friends in tabletop simulator that used cards in place of regular items, inspired by the variety and chaos of items in mario party 5 and 6. that game was called Bard Game: The Card Board Game and it featured board design by both of us, card concepts by us and several of our friends, and music arrangements by me. i already uploaded last year the other three tracks i did for the game, which also feature video showcases of the boards they play on.
the one embedded in this post i finished back in february but development on the board (and the game) stalled midway through the year, and for a while i only wanted to post the track if i could show the finished board with it, but it's been long enough that i opted to finally throw it up on youtube. it's an arrangement of akrillic from plok! done in the style of mario's rainbow castle from the first mario party. the arrangement loses a bit of that basis the further in it gets, but i don't think that's really a bad thing. i'm still pretty happy with this arrangement most of the year later.
