i have been doing my very best not to make fun of friends who are jumping straight onto Bluesky, despite my feelings about it. the format of Twitter is very useful to a wide variety of creators, artists, etc.
its pretty nice to have a public wall you can throw your work onto and people see. i just, uh. don't think we should be trusting jack dorsey with it.
Who is Jack Dorsey?

jack, seen above, is the original CEO of Twitter and cryptobro and co-founder of Square's parent, known as Block Inc. who's been working on Bluesky since before Twitter died
he tends to donate to democrats while still being happy to platform fascists for years and years as to not catch republicans in the crossfire
in fact, he doesn't really seem to stand for much of anything these days. but he's taken more of a backseat role here, as far as i can tell. we should check out the CEO of bluesky instead
Who is Jay Graber?

jay, seen above, is the current CEO of Bluesky and cryptoperson who thinks web3's "user generated authority" is the way forward

i am so exhausted.
it's 9:30 AM while i'm writing this. i haven't had coffee or breakfast, i have acid reflux, and my back hurts. i don't have the patience to keep explaining why i don't think twitter should come back, so i'm going to cut this piece short now that i've shown you the people at the helm
Why are people fleeing to Crypto-Twitter?
if the ship i was on was actively sinking, i wouldn't question the giant text printed across the rescue raft that reads "EVENTUAL PONZI SCHEME". i wouldn't complain that the raft doesn't have blocking or direct messaging, because you know what?

the captain isn't actively sinking it. yet.
