advertisement mandates consumers' time and attention be commodified, converted to units of measurement used to justify ad sales. selling data on users requires those users offer up enough data to build a portfolio. social media automates this entire process, and even forces you to partake in it, socially
deciding to 'invest' in two competing creators/companies will lead to evangelists of them both demanding your fealty to one entity or the other, because by supporting a 'competitor' you're actively hurting the very thing you're claiming to support, at least, in their eyes. and if you really want to be an active supporter, shouldn't you be promoting the brand, too?
oof, you aren't pleasing your audience, your shareholders enough. we all want you to continue making your old product line! but since you've shifted to something you enjoy doing more, our projections for future growth have halted suddenly, and thus we must pull support and look elsewhere for a creator/company who's deferential to us, to our wants.
and just WHAT is this?! one of these creators/companies you've been supporting has done something TERRIBLE, and you still have investment in them?! what the FUCK is the matter with you, i wonder what OTHER investments you have?! release your investments!
looking over the DATA, seems like some PRETTY SHITTY creators/companies have been spending time with you, i don't know if you're a worthwhile investment anymore. after all, if people see me investing in you, they might not want to invest in me! and then i'll be ruined!
what a miserable way to, literally, spend time.
