for whatever reason souls pause button discourse was on my tumblr dash and it'll always baffle me that there's a really good explanation of why these games can't pause, in that they are weird psuedo-mmos, but every time some weirdo fromsoft guy wants to defend this decision it's like some shit about how it'll break these games and it's just like even if it would like, I think that's fine? if someone wants to like play dark souls frame by frame then fucking whatever that's their problem
