So, after applying/interviewing for a few jobs... I was the first choice for one of them, got referred to HR.... Then the job was cancelled.
I'm a federal employee, and unfortunately the new budget included a MAJOR cut for our area. We're apparently going to try and eliminate 10,000 jobs nationally... Nobody getting fired (probably) but they're going to not fill a bunch of openings and a lot of postings are getting taken down. Sigh.
Idk, I might have to look outside federal employment if I want to make enough cash to not work two jobs. I just don't know where has comparable benefits.
Also, my supervisors have made this weird, now that they know I'm trying to leave. My mid-year appraisal said I needed to "connect more" to the department. Okay. 🙄
