Question of the Day!
What is something your WoL/OC did that they regret?
(inspired by @AcidXShark misreading yesterday's prompt!)
I've enumerated regrets before. However, perhaps one of the most minor, and yet profound regrets was that I cheated and lied my way to being Valedictorian of my class rather than Salutatorian. I... sigh
I used the skills I had honed and developed studying in the Frumentarii track to ensure that an order was passed down transferring her father, and therefore his family as well, to Othard. He was a civilian, the posting was a promotion for him, and she was out of the way for me to rise to Valedictorian. The act must have been quietly approved of by my professors in the Frumentarii track, as I was never punished for it, and surely they knew it was done. How could they not?
I regret the act. Changing the trajectory of several peoples lives for my own benefit. I justified it to myself in countless ways over the ensuing time, still the fact remains it was an act of brazen selfishness, and I regret it.
