Tomorrow is a big day, and I've been commanded to bed! Not that I have to be told twice! Have you seen this wif? Just look at her! :D

Stay well you wonderful creatures of cohost! I absolutely look forward to seeing you all again on the morrow. Don't forget to stay hydrated and take your meds if you have any to take. Stay safe and healthy. This world is made a little grander by your presence, and all of us together, well, we can make it splendid! Goodnight!

I like all of these, I couldn't pick which one I liked more! Plus the mechanics if she was an actual fight!

Battle Mechanics
Phase 1: starts as a Dark Knight, basic attacks and summons pools of Darkness which slow down and damage if stepped in
Phase 2: switches to dancer and throws her Chakrams which make donut Aoe. after two of those she begans improvisation which causes Forced March, have to position to avoid the AOEs. During this phase she will also dash to random characters to do another Donut Aoe, which increases in size outward, be careful to not overlap these with regular AOE
Phase 3: she summons Ruby Carbuncles which must be avoided, these run to points in the arena and cause explosions, these Twice Come Ruin
at half HP she begans laughing, triggering a cutscene where she throws away her chakrams and Pulls out her axe. She then gets Fell Cleave Tankbusters which must be shared between tanks. at 25% she will then use Holmgang, becoming invulnerable to attacks as she charges her Beast Gauge. This ends when it's full, and she uses Inner Release to perform a cinematic series of powerful giant axe swings, tearing open reality and pulling the arena into the void. a tank LB3 is required to prevent a wipe from the darkness crushing in.

Grace has decided to stop all this nonsense before it started, regardless of who or what might be erased from the timeline. If you think you can stop her, you are welcome to try. She will meet you at the pinnacle of Ktisis Hyperborea.

A few mechanics, based on my favorite jobs:

  • Eukrasian Dyskrasia: Massive partywide DoT. A heal check, but the rest of the party still has things to do while the healers are busy.
  • Fell Harvest: Grace moves to the center of the arena and does a rotating sequence of half-arena cleaves. The cleaves inflict Doom if they hit, which can be removed by healing to full.
  • Verfoul/Vermisery: Large AoE shared tankbuster, followed by tracking donut AoEs centered on the main tank and two randomly selected non-tank party members.
  • Star Waker: Big cinematic partywide attack. A volcano erupts from under the arena. Requires tank LB3.

In an alternate timeline, one of the many that exist. I may well have never awoken to who I am, or to how things truly should be. Perhaps I was so full of rage over the loss of those I cared about. Ready to serve violence and death at a banquet befitting the 'heroes' that slaughtered friends and family.

The Frumentum Convivium - The Spies Feast

A Few Mechanics:

The Culling Blade: Two targets are singled out and cut into with cross slashes of the Gunblade. This will reduce each of the targets to 1 HP and the healers will have ten seconds to restore them to full or they will die.

Industrial Might: Aellae is joined in the fray by a Magitek Vanguard as she pilots the Shiv. Dealing heavy melee damage in a wide frontal cone before her as her health bar recovers as the Shiv takes the damage for her. The longer the Shiv is active, the more health she will recover. Up to 25% of her total health.

Cinematic Interlude: When the Shiv is incapacitated, Aellae is knocked from the Piloting couch, her respirator mask knocked from her face, a drop of blood wiped away from her lip. Her actions come faster, and her cool down timers are shortened after this point.

Terminus Est: Final Attack Party Wipe Mechanic - Aellae activates a beacon on her person. Calling in an aerial bombardment by airship on her location. She must be downed prior to the beacon countdown.

@Shorkgirl
The Boss Battle that I thought of even more than Aellae's own, was that of the Eikon she would summon if ever in the very worst of delerious pain near death in desperation. Tajhia.

Aellae would never consciously call for an Eikon. Not that many in that deep place of despair truly fathom what they are doing.

If Aellae was pushed beyond the limits, beyond what she has already endured, there is one person on this star or any other that she would cry out for. Who she would cry for from that place of what she cherishes the absolute most, the memories of her Nanny and her childhood in Garlemald, her Primal summon would be less one invoked into herself, than one called for in brutal desperation. It would be an Ala Mhigan Miqo'te of middle age, adorned in a mixture of Ala Mhigan attire, and Garlean over coat for warmth. She would be wielding fang, claw, and kitchen knives. In her right hand, a meat knife, and in the left a chef's knife.

Tajhia would have several wide sweeping multiple target attacks involving the claws and cleaver. An attack that targets the healers in particular where the chef's knife is thrown brutally to deal savage damage to the healer targeted. The tank crushing attack would be a cross slash with both knives followed by a bite attack to the throat to leave them bleeding.

In order to prevent her aetheric assault that would eliminate the whole party, the party would need to resist the sleep induced state as she began to read a bed time story. Completing the bed time story she's reading, which summons forth characters from Aellae's cherished childhood story Octavian and the Missing Matanga will cause all party members to slip asleep forever, and to be replaced by characters from the story. If the story is resisted by all, none of the characters are summoned. If some party members fail the spell, they will slip into that slumber, and in addition to that individual death, a character from the book is summoned, and must be defeated in addition to Tajhia.
