episode 12: tragedy strikes - the childhood friend's club project was accidentally destroyed, and she'll never fix it by the deadline. the protag is unfortunately sick and can't help, but the tsundere steps in, rallying all the girls in class to her aid. the nerdy girl comes up with a plan, the sporty girl hauls materials, the tsundere keeps everyone organized, and even the wacky girl manages to blackmail a teacher so they can use the faculties after dark. the childhood friend is overwhelmed by their kindness. the project is finished on time, and the childhood friend gives a heartfelt thanks to the tsundere, who pretends it was nothing.
episode 19: the childhood friend sits, nervously, at a cafe at dusk. she's waiting for someone and lost in thought. we here the jingle of the bell above the door, and the tsundere walks in. the childhood friend gives a little wave, and begins to open up to the tsundere, trying to set aside their confusing past. the tsundere is surprised at this, but gives her genuine advice, and the two share warm smiles.
episode 24: graduation. there's heartfelt scenes as the students promise they'll hang out over the summer. the wacky girl is bawling big anime tears; she misses everyone already. the nerdy girl and the sporty girl pull the childhood friend aside, and tell her time is running out. she quietly asks the tsundere to meet her outside. they talk back and forth for a while about their experiences. the childhood friend admits she's fallen for the tsundere's kindness. the tsundere looks surprised, but the emboldened childhood friend leans in to kiss her, softly. their cheeks turn red. the tsundere opens up about her feelings. the scene pans out. there hasn't been a single hawaiian shirt onscreen for thirteen episodes.
