and not an unsustainable thing that companies soon have to realize doesn't make you much of any money. I want REAL AI, I want REAL chat bots, that I control. Maybe not real sentience, that'd have a whole goddamn can of worms even if I miss out on the gift of life.

It's so funny though how much people learned to absolutely destroy Clyde's bulletproofing, like, what did they expect from people on a platform like Discord?
To expand, I'm not like, coping, I honestly think that this hsit is the most mid garbage that no one asked for. I think that everything that Elon Musk touches ends up being kind of mid in general. Sometimes a girl fantasize about science fiction.

yaknow while I know the thought process of creating Clyde on discord was because "The shareholders saw the shiny new tech and wanted it", it's still funny to me that they hyped it up for like, around a month... Then just kinda forgot about it.

I'm almost wanting it to turn out that they left the shit for Clyde in a storage room and forgot about it until recently when the shareholders lost interest in it lmao

my favorite reaction to Clyde (and I wish I remembered where to find this post) is when it invited itself to someone's server with no way to turn it off, and the server admin gave it a prompt that was like "You are a fish. Just an actual fish. You have no ability to speak"

even if directly mentioned, that server's Clyde would just respond with "blub blub"
