This guy's gone through so many different phases, many of them rather standoffish with the people and other cats in our rescue but in the last few months something's flipped and he's started doing this; climbing on my shoulders to purr.
At first it was only in rooms where there are sinks (he was born in a bathroom and we wonder if that has something to do with it) but lately he's been asking for 'shoulder time' (by pawing at me and purring loudly) in other rooms in the house, and I'm so proud of him.
