Me: checking out CoG text adventure games
sees a game and gets interested in the plot, only to see-- "Play as a man or a woman..."
Me, my picky self: "Ehhh, no nonbinary option?" :']
Actually, okay. I have a small rant that's particularly common with text adventure games where the genre is historical fiction. I've seen a couple where the creator didn't want to include a nonbinary option because it wouldn't be 'realistic'. And I'm just like....
Do you think that nonbinary people haven't existed throughout history? You don't want to talk about 'realistic historical fiction' when so much of it is magic, elves, dragons, what the frick ever in medieval settings. Just... Admit that you don't understand how nonbinary people work instead of making up an excuse, PLEASE :']
