• She/Her, They/Them

A Writer/Artist lost in dreamland.
Most people that know me tend to call me "Shy", or "Mali"

In other news (I can't let a negative post be my last one for the night) sometimes I struggle with writing, even though I so dearly want to write. It can so often be too overwhelming or too under stimulating. In the event of the latter, I've noticed a neat trick that can help my brain focus on writing.

And what would that trick be? Literally just reading the story aloud as I write. I've been told that MAYBE I just don't want to write, or MAYBE I just need to rest. But I think the issue is literally just that I need more than reading it silently, or typing away at my keyboard to fully focus.

When I read the story aloud it tricks my brain into focusing on the story. And more than that, it also helps me figure out if something's off about the story, or the dialogue. This tip doesn't always work, but I think the idea is figuring out what's wrong with your brain right then and there. Different problems have different solutions, ya know?
