• She/Her, They/Them

A Writer/Artist lost in dreamland.
Most people that know me tend to call me "Shy", or "Mali"

Something I've noticed that I increasingly struggle with when it comes to writing are mapping out plot points, i.e. getting from Point A to Point B. Especially where adventures are concerned that involves the main character going on a journey across the country to... I dunno, find a mystical sword? I know what should happen once the MC gets there, but everything before that point is just nonexistent.

That's become true with one of my stories. I'm kind of getting.... bored of it. Not as in I'm bored of the characters or the story, but I feel like I could've done the beginning better, and my main character also has to travel across the fictional country to find a coven that she'll be safe in. But GETTING there is growing increasingly difficult.

In a few words, it feels formulaic. It feels like I took all the adventure out by thinking too 'step by step'.
